Sorry. The internet’s such an international tool I forget that I’m commenting on an American blog.

If you do get a chance to check them out, they’re a Scottish band and the track’s from The Remote Part. One of their more ‘accessible’ albums – although I despise that term.

Next time I’ll try to pick something a little less ‘niche’

I echo Carol’s sentiments entirely. I’ve often thought that the music you listen to helps to shape the person you become – there are so many ideologies and identities attached to the various genres that it’s impossible to be an objective bystander.

With regards my favourite song… Whilst, my music collection is representative of the places I’ve been emotionally at specific times in my life there are certain albums which have stood the test of time, so…

Idlewild – You held the World in Your Arms. A stunning track from an awesome album.

Great post — really got me thinking. My favorite song of all time is “I hope you dance” by Lee Ann Womack. A song about life, love, never taking anything for granted and always remembering to embrace and be part of some of the truly amazing things that life has to offer. A great message to live by!
