The new millennium has seen Elton at the top of his game, continuing to play frequent, sell-out concerts all over the world along with his band: Guy Babylon (keyboards), Bob Birch (bass), Davey Johnstone (guitars), John Mahon (percussion) and Nigel Olsson (drums).  Elton remains committed to his music and to touring, becoming more, rather than less, busy as time passes. During 2009 he will tour in Europe with his band, and also resumes the Face2Face tour with Billy Joel, starting in the USA. This Face2Face tour is set to last for at least two years.

Eric Patrick Clapton was born on March 30, 1945, in his grandparent’s house in Surrey, England. Young Ricky (that’s what his grandparent’s called him) was a quiet and polite child, an above average student with an aptitude for art. The only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of both The Yardbirds and Cream and as a solo artist), Eric Clapton continues to astonish and delight a vast spectrum of music lovers. It’s a legacy that continues with the release of Reptile, the latest journey in the lifelong musical odyssey of an authentic musical genius.

Michael Jackson

jacksonslider1 Singer, songwriter. Jackson was born August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to an African-American working-class family. His father, Joseph Jackson, had been a guitarist but had put aside his musical aspirations to provide for his family as a crane operator. Believing his sons had talent, he molded them into a musical group in the early 1960s. At first, the Jackson Family performers consisted of Michael’s older brothers Tito, Jermaine, and Jackie. Michael joined his siblings when he was five, and emerged as the group’s lead vocalist. He showed remarkable range and depth for such a young performer, impressing audiences with his ability to convey complex emotions. Older brother Marlon also became a member of the group, which evolved into the Jackson 5.

Elvis Presley

elvisslider4 Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in East Tupelo, Mississippi. In September 1948 when Elvis was 13, he and his parents moved to Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from Humes High School in Memphis, Elvis took odd jobs working as a movie theater usher and a truck driver for Crown Electric Company. He began singing locally as “The Hillbilly Cat”, then signed with a local recording company, then in 1955 with RCA. He did much to establish early rock and roll music, bringing black blues singing into the white, teenage mainstream. Teenage girls became hysterical over his blatantly sexual gyrations, particularly the one that got him nicknamed “Elvis the Pelvis” (TV cameras were not permitted to film below his waist). At the time of his death, he had sold over 600-million singles and albums.
